Belfast Commercial Chronicle - 4th January 1808

LAND TO BE LET, From the First Day of November inst. THREE FIELDS, containing from Nine to Ten Acres most excellent Land, in the of Ballynafoy, County Down ; beautifully situated on the Banks of the River Lagan, opposite the first Lock of the Navigation - It would most desirable Situation for Building on, being only two miles distant from Belfast (and when the intended new line of road is finished, will little more than one mile), having a charming and extensive view of the Town and Harbour. To any Person conversant in the Manufacturing of Brick and Tyles, it would turn out a Source of Wealth, having great Plenty  of excellent Sand for that purpose, and Water in abundance the driest Season. Lighters can a few yards the Kilns, and take in their Loading. Should an  Improving Tenant offer, a good I.ease will given. For further particulars apply Mr. DAVID S. TO BE LET, For such terms as may he agreed on, ANNA’S COTTAGE, (lately occupied Mr. Giles,) with from Ten to Seventeen Statute Acres, may be most agreeable to tenant. It would accommodate a small respectable family. It is little more than a Mile from Belfast, (opposite Ormeau Gate,) on the road from Belfast to Newtonbreda. Belfast Commercial Chronicle - 6th March 1841

TO BE LET -ANNA'S COTTAGE, formerly residence of the late Christopher STRONG, situate in BALLYNAFEIGH, County of Down, about one Mile from Belfast, on the New Road leading to Newtownbreda. There are, by estimation, about 28 statue acres attached to the Dwelling house, which will be let in such quantity, and for such term as may be agreed upon. Appliction to be made to WILLIAM BLACK, Solicitor, 2 Ann Street. Belfast, who will treat on behalf of the Proprietor, HENDERSON BLACK. Esq.

TO BE LET, FROM THE FIRST OF MAY until the First of November next, ANNA’S COTTAGE, situate off the road leading towards Newtownbreda, from Belfast, together with the GARDEN, COACH  HOUSE, and STABLE. Northern Whig - 12th October 1859

EXERCISE GROUND. The UNDERSIGNED IS PREPARED TO lay out and maintain a good COURSE and EXERCISE GROUND for HORSES, at Anna’s Cottage, Ballynafeigb, if sufficient number of Subscribers will join. The Course will be a circle of about an English mile, properly levelled and laid down, with hurdles which can be used when required. The want of a safe and suitable EXERCISE GROUND for HORSES has long been felt in Belfast, and one will now be provided within a mile of town, properly supported. Subscriptions, £1 a year: none but respectable persons admitted. Names will received by CHARLES GROGAN, Anna’s Cottage, Ballynafeigh


Ballymena Observer -  27th July 1861

July 20, at the residence of her son, David Hastys, Anna's Cottage, Ballynafeigh, Margaret, relict of the late Mr. John Hastys, of Auchatton, Ayrshire, aged 82 years. 


Belfast Mercury - 16th August 1861

August 9, at Anna’s Cottage, Ballynafeigh, Maria, third daughter of Mr. Hugh Taylor, of Chichester Street, Belfast, aged 18 years.


Belfast Telegraph - 26th April 1873

Smyth - On the 28rd inst., suddenly, Thomas Smyth, of Anna's Cottage, Ballynafeigh. aged 44(?) years.
